
Many Christians would struggle to explain why Psalm 110:1 is the most quoted verse of the Old Testament in the New Testament. "The LORD said to my Lord, 'Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.'" Daniel 7 revolves around the same theme, the exaltation of the Son of Man to rule with the Ancient of Days.
The last couple of weeks I preached on Daniel 7. That text is a great entry point for talking about the entire story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Of course, that story centers on Jesus. But we sometimes miss that the climax of Jesus' story is not Easter but the Ascension. The first sermon is "Ride on, King Jesus," and the second is "Ride on, King Jesus People"
